At the Summit of the seven Mediterranean countries of the European Union (EUMed) held in Athens in September 2016, the Prime Minister of Greece and his European counterparts spoke and listened, each in their native language.

The 11th Balkan Countries CHODs Conference, on “Geopolitical Stability in South-East Europe - Energy Routes” drew to a close on Wednesday 10 May 2017, in Athens, with the participation of the Chiefs of Defence of Greece, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, FYROM, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey.
