ELIT Language Services provided all interpretation services during the 51st International Ski Congress which took place at Costa Navarino, from 13 to 19 May, under the auspices of the International Ski Federation (FIS). Our country hosted the event for the second time, having first organized it way back in 1963.
There were some 1,100 participants with 76 National Federations in attendance. In the context of the Congress Week, the FIS Council and the various FIS technical committees, sub-committees and working groups met to take important decisions regarding the organisation of the 2022 and 2023 world championships.
The Congress approved the proposal for the addition of the following events at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics: Freestyle aerials mixed team event, Freeski big air, Snowboard cross team event, Snowboard alpine mixed team parallel event, Snowboard parallel slalom, Snowboard mixed team slalom, Telemark parallel sprint.
