ELIT Language Services provided the interpretation services at the conference on “Simplifying the business environment in Greece: Digital services and tools for SMEs,” which was held at the National Hellenic Research Foundation on Wednesday, 19 April 2018, under the auspices of the European Commission and the Ministry of Economy and Development.
An international conference organizer once again entrusted the provision of interpretation services to ELIT.
The event focused on recent institutional reforms bearing on business start-up and licensing. Specialized digital tools were presented for reducing administrative burden, promoting transparency and facilitating business activities. Fifty-two percent of SMEs project that digital services will transform their sectors, in some cases comprehensively.
Although English is usually the working language at conferences of this kind, the organizer’s decision to provide Greek-English interpretation drew positive comments, with Greeks showing a clear preference for their native language, given the demanding terminology involved.
